About Our Partner
- Department of Environment, Climate Action and Communications

GIY has partnered with the DECC, as part of the Circular Economy Innovation Grant Scheme, on a national, peer-to-peer education programme to engage and educate chefs to reduce food waste in the food service industry.

The Department of the Environment, Climate and Communications (DECC) is responsible for the development and delivery of policies and programmes in the areas of communications, postal, energy, natural resources, climate action, waste, and the environment.

GIY has partnered with the DECC, as part of the Circular Economy Innovation Grant Scheme, on a national, peer-to-peer education programme called WASTED. The initiative, launched in 2022, aims to engage and educate over 150 chefs and food service teams working in the hospitality industry to reduce food waste in the food service sector.
