The Bioregional Weaving (BWL) Lab Collective is an assembly of 25+ international system-changing organisations, funders and impact investors, led by Ashoka and Commonland, and grounded in a community of practice. There are now BWLs in eight European countries, working directly with farmers, nature conservationists, communities, educators, and other stakeholders in landscapes to restore, protect and regenerate ecosystems and to preserve biodiversity. The overall mission across Europe is to regenerate1 million Hectares of land and sea through mobilizing 1 million changemakers.

GIY hosted BWL SE Ireland in its foundational years (2022 and 2023), before it established itself as an independent organization (see bioregion.ie). GIY continues as an engaged partner in the local and European BWL network.
