Key Responsibilities:

  • Food Preparation & Consistency: Ensure food presentation and preparation meet GROW HQ’s high standards
  • Menu Assistance: Assist in the development of seasonal menus, maintaining a deep knowledge of ingredients, dishes, and their preparation.
  • Support to Chef de Parties: Provide hands-on support and
  • Cleaning & Hygiene: Ensure work areas are clean and sanitized. Assist with basic cleaning tasks, including dishwashing and organizing food prep areas.
  • Stock Management: Assist with stock rotation, ordering, and storage organization, ensuring minimal food waste and adherence to HACCP guidelines.
  • Compliance: Maintain compliance with food labelling, temperature controls, and other safety protocols.
  • Efficiencies & Waste Reduction: Support the Sous Chef in implementing strategies to reduce food waste and improve kitchen efficiencies.
  • Health & Safety: Ensure that all health and safety protocols are followed rigorously in the kitchen.

Experience & Competencies:

  • 3-4 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Experience in a fast-moving Food & Beverage business
  • A passion for local, seasonal home-grown food, and preserving & foraging
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Team player who values integrity and respect
  • Excellent communication skills
