What is GROW it Forward with Sláintecare Healthy Communities?
This year, for GROW it Forward, three Sláintecare Healthy Communities are taking part for their communities to start growing some of their own food and live a healthy and more sustainable life. Donegal County Council (Donegal North West Gaeltacht), Longford County Council (Longford Town), and Waterford City & County Council (Waterford Comeraghs Region).
How it Works
Pick up to a pack from your local Distribution hub in Donegal, Waterford, or Longford. (See below for hub locations)
- Keep one pack for yourself and give seed kits to four others, like neighbours, friends, family, or club members, to join the growing journey.
- Each seed kit includes a postcard with a QR code for programme registration.
- GIY will email you a weekly newsletter with tips on growing your seeds.
- After 12 weeks, enjoy your own tasty, healthy homegrown vegetables and learn more about a sustainable GIY lifestyle.
