Laura Winningham (OBE)
Laura Winningham (OBE) – co-founder of City Harvest, is a skilled entrepreneur who has built a sustainable way to address two of London’s greatest issues: hunger and waste. Under her direction, City Harvest has become London’s first last-mile, food redistribution organisation and has connected food for 50 million meals at no cost to those facing hunger.
As founder of Winningham Impact Ventures, Laura provides strategic consulting to emerging impact driven organisations. She is currently advising several organisations including Mealia, an AI driven solution enabling people facing food insecurity to eat affordably, nutritiously and sustainably, Global Fellows in Courage, an accelerator bringing emerging leaders together for positive social change and TimeGivers, connecting young people to their communities through volunteering.
Laura was previously based in both Hong Kong and New York City where she was an investment manager at CRI Media Partners, an equity fund focused on media and telecommunications. Prior to that Laura was head of investments at family offices, with both public and private portfolios under management. Laura began her career in investment banking with an expertise in alternative energy.
Laura has an MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business and a BSc in Agricultural Economics from Cornell University.
