Synopsis: For over a decade, GIY and its founder Mick Kelly have helped people reconnect with where their food comes from. Now, they are taking the mission further. Can they prove that a community-based local food system can work at scale in Ireland today?  The problem is simple and urgent. GIY HQ in Waterford has run out of land. So the team secures a new site: a vast, derelict, overgrown walled garden on the historic Curraghmore Estate, just outside Waterford City. It is an extraordinary opportunity and a daunting restoration. Their task is to turn this forgotten garden into a viable working farm, animals included and build a veg box scheme that can feed residents of Waterford. The series begins with hope, history and humour, but also a warning: the clock is already ticking.
