GROW Membership Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your subscription to the GROW Membership (“Membership”), operated by GIY CLG, registered in Waterford, Ireland (“we”, “our”, “us”).

By purchasing or maintaining a Membership, you agree to these Terms. Please read them carefully before subscribing.


1. About the GROW Membership

The GROW Membership provides schools, educators, and participants with access to curated educational content, resources, and community engagement designed to support food growing and sustainability learning.

Membership Benefits may include:

  • Access to exclusive educational content and resources
  • Lesson plans, growing guides, and classroom materials
  • Live or recorded webinars, Q&As, or training sessions
  • Access to selected online courses
  • Optional participation in community groups (e.g. WhatsApp or similar platforms)
  • Digital tools and planning resources

Please note:

  • Specific benefits may vary depending on the Membership plan.
  • In-person workshops, events, or additional services are not included unless explicitly stated.


2. Eligibility and School Participation

  • Memberships are intended for use by schools, educators, or authorised representatives.
  • The subscribing party is responsible for ensuring that all users (e.g. teachers, students) comply with these Terms.
  • Where students access content, this must be supervised by a responsible adult (e.g. teacher or guardian).


3. Subscription and Pricing

  • All prices are in Euro (€) and include applicable taxes unless otherwise stated.
  • Your Membership will renew automatically at the end of each billing cycle unless cancelled (see Section 8).
  • We reserve the right to update pricing or plan structures (see Section 9).


4. Payments and Billing

  • Payments are processed automatically using the payment method provided at checkout.
  • Subscription fees are billed on a recurring basis.
  • You can update your billing details at any time through your account or by contacting us at hi@giy.ie.

If a payment fails:

  • We may suspend access to Membership content until payment is successfully processed.


5. Account Access and Subscription Management

  • Subscriptions are linked to the email address used at the time of purchase.

• • You can access and manage your Membership, including updating payment details or cancelling your subscription, by logging into your account at: https://www.giy.ie/a/subscriptions/login

  • It is your responsibility to ensure your account details (including email address) are kept up to date.


6. Community Participation (e.g. WhatsApp or Similar Platforms)

Members may be invited to join optional community groups.

By participating, you acknowledge that:

  • Participation is voluntary.
  • Personal information (such as phone numbers, names, or profile details) may be visible to other members depending on the platform used.

Participants agree to:

  • Engage respectfully and constructively
  • Not share inappropriate, offensive, or promotional content
  • Not misuse the group for commercial purposes

We reserve the right to remove any participant who breaches these guidelines.


6. Acceptable Use

You agree to:

  • Use Membership content for educational and non-commercial purposes only
  • Not share, reproduce, or distribute paid content outside your school or organisation without permission
  • Not share login credentials with unauthorised users

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access for misuse or breach of these Terms.


8. Cancellation Policy

You may cancel your Membership at any time by:

  • Managing your account online, or
  • Contacting us at hi@giy.ie

Upon cancellation:

  • You will retain access until the end of your current billing period
  • No further payments will be taken
  • Refunds are not provided for unused portions of a billing period


9. Renewals and Changes to Membership

  • Memberships renew automatically unless cancelled in advance.
  • We may update pricing, features, or benefits from time to time.

If changes occur:

  • You will be notified in advance
  • Continued use of the Membership constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms


10. Cooling-Off Period (EU Consumer Rights)

If you are based in the EU, you have the right to withdraw within 14 days of purchase.

To exercise this right:

However:

  • If you access digital content during this period, you waive your right to withdraw
  • If no content has been accessed, you may be eligible for a full refund


11. Refunds

  • Refunds are not provided for subscription payments already made, except where required by law
  • Exceptions may apply in cases of duplicate payments or system error

Please contact hi@giy.ie within 14 days if you believe a charge has been made in error.


12. Intellectual Property

All content provided (including videos, guides, lesson plans, and digital materials) remains the property of GIY or its licensors.

You may:

  • Use content within your school or organisation for educational purposes

You may not:

  • Copy, distribute, sell, or commercially exploit any content without prior written consent


13. Safeguarding and Child Protection

Where Membership content is used with children:

  • Schools and educators are responsible for ensuring appropriate supervision
  • All use must comply with applicable child protection and safeguarding policies

GIY does not assume responsibility for how content is delivered within individual schools or organisations.


14. Service Availability

  • We aim to ensure continuous access to Membership content but do not guarantee uninterrupted service
  • We may suspend or modify the service for maintenance, updates, or improvements


15. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

  • GIY shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from use of the Membership
  • Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid for the Membership in the preceding 12 months

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability where it would be unlawful to do so.


16. Privacy and Data Protection

Your personal data is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

By subscribing, you consent to:

  • The collection and use of your information for Membership administration
  • Receiving communications related to your Membership


17. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time.

  • Material changes will be communicated in advance via email or on our website
  • Continued use of the Membership constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms

19. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Ireland.
