After studying Organisational Psychology in UL, Alex joined GIY in 2017 as a Retail Assistant, then as an Operations Coordinator, before becoming GIY’s People & Culture Manager. Alex became Head of People & Culture in 2023. Outside of her work on campaigns, Alex has created many of GIY’s original designs and illustrations, such as the GROW HQ map, postcards and just about every blackboard we have.
When Alex is not hard at work convincing people to start GIYing, she is happiest when she is up to something creative or planning her next adventure.

Our food system is broken and at GIY we believe that nurturing a real connection to where our food comes from is the key to fixing it.
We're on a mission to inspire a global movement of food growers, one GIYer at a time.
