The Literacy & Food Education (LEAF)
The Literacy & Food Education (LEAF) Programme is about empowering communities to grow their own food as a vital climate action. It’s about sowing seeds of empathy and nurturing a culture of sustainable living, all while turning libraries into bustling hubs of food growing.
Seeds are available in 25 libraries across the south east.

- Support Community Capacity for Food Growing (understanding gaps, providing resources, connecting groups & activity for knowledge sharing).
- Provide Resources & Information to Communities in Ireland to grow in a community setting.
- Support Access to information for community food growing activity through the library network.
- Connect & inform community groups – platform/newsletter/events.
