GROW at School Premium Membership Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern the purchase and use of the GROW at School Premium Membership (“Membership”), operated by GIY CLG, registered in Waterford, Ireland (“we”, “our”, “us”).

By purchasing the Membership, you (the “School”, “you”, “your”) agree to these Terms. Please read them carefully before purchasing.


1. About the GROW at School Premium Membership

The GROW at School Premium Membership provides schools with access to a range of digital resources, tools, and educational content designed to support food growing and sustainability learning in schools.

Membership benefits may include (but are not limited to):

  • Access to exclusive digital growing resources and lesson materials
  • Curriculum-linked educational content
  • Seasonal growing guides and planning tools
  • Access to online training or instructional content
  • Additional resources, tools, or materials as updated from time to time

Please note: Any in-person workshops, events, or physical products are not included unless explicitly stated.


2. Membership Term and Nature of Purchase

The GROW at School Premium Membership is:

  • A fixed-term membership aligned with the academic school year
  • Not a recurring subscription
  • Purchased as a one-off annual payment

Access to the Membership will begin from start of the academic year (or as otherwise specified) and will continue until the end of the applicable academic year.


3. Renewal of Membership

The Membership does not renew automatically.

If your school wishes to continue access for the following academic year, you must actively renew your Membership by purchasing again via the following link:
https://giy.ie/products/premium-subscription

It is the responsibility of the school to ensure renewal is completed before the start of the new academic year if continued access is required.

We may send reminder communications, but we are not responsible for lapses in access due to non-renewal.


4. Pricing and Payment

  • The Membership fee is payable in full at the time of purchase
  • All prices are in Euro (€) and include applicable taxes unless otherwise stated
  • Payment must be made via the methods provided at checkout

If payment cannot be processed, access to the Membership may not be granted or may be suspended until payment is successfully completed.


5. Access and Use

The Membership is provided for use by the purchasing school only.

You agree to:

  • Use the content for educational, non-commercial purposes within your school
  • Ensure that login details are kept secure
  • Not share, distribute, or resell Membership content outside your school community

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access where there is misuse or breach of these Terms.


6. Digital Content and Availability

We aim to ensure that all Membership content is available at all times; however:

  • Access may occasionally be interrupted for maintenance, updates, or technical issues
  • We may update, modify, or remove content from time to time to improve the service

We do not guarantee that all content will remain unchanged throughout the Membership term.


7. Community Participation (e.g. WhatsApp or Similar Platforms)

Members may be invited to join optional community groups.

By participating, you acknowledge that:

  • Participation is voluntary.
  • Personal information (such as phone numbers, names, or profile details) may be visible to other members depending on the platform used.

Participants agree to:

  • Engage respectfully and constructively
  • Not share inappropriate, offensive, or promotional content
  • Not misuse the group for commercial purposes

We reserve the right to remove any participant who breaches these guidelines.

 

8. Cancellation and Refunds

As this is a one-off Membership purchase:

  • Cancellation does not entitle you to a refund once access has been granted
  • Refunds are not provided for unused portions of the Membership period

Exceptions may apply:

  • Where required under applicable consumer law
  • In cases of duplicate payment or system error

If you believe a payment has been made in error, please contact hi@giy.ie within 14 days of the transaction.


9. Cooling-Off Period (EU Consumer Rights)

If you are purchasing within the EU, you have the right to withdraw from your purchase within 14 days without giving any reason.

To exercise this right, you must contact hi@giy.ie within 14 days of purchase.

However:

  • If you access any digital content during this period, you acknowledge that you waive your right to withdraw
  • If no content has been accessed, a full refund may be issued within the 14-day period


10. School Responsibilities

By purchasing the Membership, the school agrees to:

  • Provide accurate contact and billing information
  • Ensure appropriate supervision of students using the materials
  • Use all resources in a manner consistent with educational best practices


11. Intellectual Property

All content provided (including but not limited to text, videos, guides, and digital materials) remains the property of GIY CLG.

You are granted a limited, non-transferable licence to use the materials for internal educational purposes only.

You may not:

  • Reproduce, distribute, or publish content externally
  • Share materials with non-member schools or organisations


12. Changes to the Membership

We may update:

  • Membership content
  • Features or benefits
  • Pricing for future academic years

Any such changes will not affect a Membership already purchased but will apply to future purchases or renewals.


13. Changes to These Terms

We may update or amend these Terms from time to time.

Any material changes will be communicated via email or posted on our website.

Continued use of the Membership after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.


14. Privacy and Data Protection

Your personal data will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

By purchasing the Membership, you consent to the processing of your data for:

  • Account administration
  • Communication regarding your Membership
  • Delivery of Membership services

16. Governing Law

The GROW at School Premium Membership is a non-recurring, fixed-term product. Schools must manually renew each academic year by purchasing again via the official product page.
