Jane Foley

Business Development Coordinator

“Sustainability has always been the driving force behind my career, from energy to global resources and food, and I’m so excited to be a part of GIY and to be surrounded by likeminded people.”

Jane grew up in the Golden Vale of the Suir Valley, an area of rolling hills and natural beauty which left her with a passion for nature, and sustainable lifestyle. The daughter of a small farmer and a teacher, it is no wonder that she developed an enthusiasm for food and education, making GIY the perfect fit for her. While she may be new to growing food herself, Jane’s roots lie firmly in the world of sustainability.

Following a degree in French and Mathematics from the University of Limerick, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Marketing Management from Griffith College, Jane immediately began work as marketing executive in the renewable energy industry, where she remained for a number of years.  She is now looking forward to branching out and stretching her legs on new avenues of sustainability with GIY, where she helps manage and run our corporate wellness and sustainability programme, GROWCircle.

Jane lives in Tipperary with her son Rian, and is currently undertaking a Masters in International Sales at Technological University Dublin.

GIY stories

Meet some of our GIYers (that’s people who grow some of their own food) who all champion Food Empathy – a deeper understanding and connection with food from their experience of growing. If you want food done right, then grow it yourself.
