We are delighted to work with HEINEKEN Ireland on their Growing With Our Communities initiative that comprised three key elements – Star Growers, Grow It Forward and Star Gardens to engage their 200 plus employees in the Cork and Dublin offices, even the guys on the road got involved, growing in coffee cups in their cars and together we support 10 community food growing projects with even bigger plans for 2018!
Diageo, makers of one Ireland’s most famous brands, have created a beautiful garden for their employees at the iconic St James’ Gate site in Dublin. Over the next two years we’ll deliver a range of workshops, provide a growing plan and provide task lists and materials so that everyone can grow at work and provide delicious herb and salads for their on site canteen to share with their teams.
Energia, Ireland's greenest energy company, runs an annual internal workplace wellbeing competition “Get Energia Growing” to boost to workplace morale in all their offices and call centres, leading to some of the funniest team names in GIY folklore.
State Street, investment fund administrators, ran a series of GIY workshops for workplace wellness at both their Kilkenny and Dublin offices – it was here we had our first live broadcast to multiple State Street offices and Karen got very confused by the technology – she should definitely stick to the day job!
Deloitte, audit, tax, consulting and corporate finance service providers to public and private clients, invested in a series of workshops that cover a broad range of topics including juicing, fermentation, bees and pollination, food miles and food security as well as food growing – a really engaged team who totally get GIY’s Food Empathy message!
GIY's GROW at Work 'al desko' growing programme is designed to reconnect your employees to their food by getting them growing some food on their desk in a fun and accessible 4-week workplace growing programme. The GROW at Work kit is designed for 50 participants and will be delivered to your workplace. Each participant gets everything they need to grow their own food on their desk at work including:
Each week we will send your employees additional resources and motivation by email and all GROW@Workers are encouraged to share their journey with other participating companies on social media. We're also on hand if you have any questions during the programme.
To get involved, simply order our GROW at Work kit, organise your employees into teams, communicate the weekly challenges which we provide you with, and watch it GROW from there.
