GIY Employee Wellbeing Programmes

Bring GIY to your workplace with growing workshops, al-desko challenges, workplace gardens and volunteering.

GIY has been working with organisations in Ireland and abroad since 2010 to help deliver a wide range of Workplace Wellbeing Programs. Our core mission is to inspire 'Food Empathy'; a deeper understanding of food that comes from growing some of it yourself. Food empathy can act as a platform to a happier, healthier, more sustainable life for everyone. We have seen the difference a food growing workshop, programme or competition can make in a workplace. We can inspire and support workforces of any size to really connect with their food, their health and the health of the planet.

GROW at Work programmes range from a series of simple workshops and canteen wellness events, season-long food-growing programmes, competitions and challenges.  The main programme types are:

  • Inspirational seasonal workshops, run quarterly over a year (or more) tailored to your workforce which include: beginners growing, juicing, gut health and much more.
  • Start a veg patch at your workplace so employees can grow at work, with mentoring and support from GIY.
  • GIY partnership and volunteer opportunities where we pair your business with local community gardens and schools. Employees can practically help a local organisation through people and plant power or sponsor an Eat Together programme.
  • Team building away days at GROW HQ for an immersive Grow, Cook, Eat experience.
  • A 4-week Al Desko growing kit and challenge
