Get Ireland Growing

At Energia and GIY, we believe there has never been a better time to Get Ireland Growing.

This year the campaign aims to sow the seed of community food growing. We’re on a mission to get as many people growing together across Ireland as we can.

COVID-19 made people re-evaluate how important local communities are to people’s physical and mental wellbeing. Green spaces became a sanctuary for most people during the pandemic, particularly in the height of lockdowns and for those without a garden. As Ireland continues to reopen, Energia and GIY hope to support communities to regenerate green spaces in their local areas and further ignite community spirit and connection.

Let’s nurture what’s in our nature and Get Ireland Growing again.

Registrations have now closed for Community Growing Kits. But there are still plenty of prizes to be won… Click here to find out more information on how you can get involved in this year’s campaign.
